thoughts. B+.
Tommy airline* is Tomoko’s sophomore album under the Tommy February6 moniker, and I think its a step up from her debut. I do like her first album yet aside from EVERYDAY AT THE BUS STOP and ★CANDY POP IN LOVE★ the rest just didn’t stand out despite not being bad songs. Tommy airline* on the other hand just turned it up a notch with the pure, bubblegum pop. I’m sort of an average fan of pop music, however it was something very endearing about Tommy February6’s brand of pop. The first song I heard from her using this moniker was Love Is Forever in I remember being very touched by it, which is weird because it doesn’t come across as a sad song… anyway I really liked it an it ended up being my favorite song from her. I also really like Together At The Seaside: a really addicting song that just ensnares you and doesn’t let go (I actually listen to that song more than Love Is Forever). The stand out track on this album is without a doubt daNCin’ bABY, I did not expect to like this track but was surprised with how much I did. It’s pure 80’s pop and actually puts you in a dancing mood. The rest are nice pop tunes in their own right; I dug I still love you boy more than I thought I would to. A really decent pop album, she really got this formula right this second time around.

thoughts. B.
Tommy February6 is the rare artist in my line-up that seems out of place, even more so than Kyary. I liked her brilliant green song Rainy days never stays and while looking up their music I stumbled across her solo material. I liked February6 but didn’t care for heavenly6. Now, I think I like both the personas evenly. Her solo concept is very intriguing to me and her music on both sides are pretty good, that’s why I believe I keep up with her. Tommy February6 is her debut album on the pop-side and it’s OK. I liked it more when I first heard it. The songs are sugary-sweet but never in a bad, cavity inducing type of way. I found a lot of the songs filler-ry as I didn’t too much care for them nor did they keep my interest for very long. My main issue with this album is that it starts out strong and becomes muddled with songs that aren’t bad but do nothing for me. They’re just filling up space. It ends strong with though *CANDY POP IN LOVE*.
