Okui Masami’s sophomore album V-sit isn’t as good as her debut; just didn’t feel like the songs stood out as much or even really stuck with me. The songs aren’t bad and Masami has a really nice an clear voice for her to be a seiyuu singer. To me the songs were just pretty average. The only song that really stood out was Two People¬†in that was a slow song. I was also surprised that I didn’t like her more up-tempo or faster paced songs. Well, it wasn’t that I didn’t like them they were decent enough, they just didn’t really do anything for me in my opinion. V-sit¬†however is an album I can listen to all the way through, it’s just the songs were better on her debut. It is honestly just one of those background noise type of albums.

thoughts. A.
I had had Okui Masami in my line up before then I think I grew disinterested in her and dropped her, only to have a change of heart last year and add her back. I don’t think I quite appreciated her enough, because for some reason her music stands out more to me than Megumi Hayashibara even though I view them in the same light. Gyuu is her debut album and it’s actually pretty good. A lot of the songs surprised me in a pleasant way; I really didn’t think I would end up liking practically the whole album. Okui’s voice is also a lot less annoying than I remember it being. It’s actually quite nice and shines in her more ballad oriented tracks. Gyuu is one of the better debut albums I have heard and shockingly doesn’t sound too much like an anime OST.
